Visitor/Volunteer Guidelines

Volunteer/Visitor Procedures

First, Graham Elementary and the Graham Local School District realizes, and values, the importance of strong and positive relationships between the school faculty, families, and community members. We encourage families and the community to be a part of the educational process through volunteer opportunities and visits. While visiting and volunteering are very important to us, we also want to ensure the safety of our students and maintain an orderly and nurturing learning environment. To ensure that we encourage school visits and volunteering while also maintaining a safe environment, I want to take this time to explain our visitor and volunteer procedures as we are implementing new procedures effective January 1, 2017.

These procedures are implemented pursuant to the Administrative Guidelines 9150 which is available for review on the district’s website. The district reserves the right to deny an individual entry to any school building when there is a reason to believe that such individual’s presence would be detrimental to the operation of the school and the learning environment. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Volunteers
If you wish to volunteer, please complete the online registration and background check that can be accessed through the volunteer portal. This process can take an extended time and is dependent on receiving the background check back from the various agencies.
