This week our habit was Habit 3: Put First Things First. Students showed us how to be rockstars at focusing on our highest priorities and tackling the "Big Rocks" (the most important tasks of our days) first, so that when it is time to carry out our plans, we can take it one step at a time and succeed in all of our tasks and goals, no matter how big or small! These special Falcons showed us how to be heroes at focusing on and conquering their important things in order to continue being fantastic, hardworking, and inspiring students at GES!

It’s time for the next round of GES Habit Hero Winners! The Habit of the Week this week was Habit 2: Begin With The End In Mind. So many Falcons showed us how hard they are working to set and achieve goals - it was hard to choose! But this group of superstars went above and beyond when it came to making plans and showing commitment to following through on those plans! Way to go, friends!

October was Fire Prevention month, and the preschool decided to have a fire safety day! Johnson St. Paris (JSP) Fire Department educated us on what to do if there’s a fire, and showed us their equipment. We even got to spray the giant hose!

Today, GES students had the opportunity to join Elec Simon for a "Motivational Music" Assembly at Graham Middle School. This was brought to us largely through a Champaign County Arts Council grant written by Graham Parent (and Urbana Teacher) Michele Slone. The Arts Council President is GMS teacher Gail Wilson. Elec spent time on Broadway with STOMP, and with the Cleveland Cavaliers, sharing his special high-energy performances. Thank you to all who made this opportunity possible! It was a fantastic way to end the week!

Reminder of PTO meeting tomorrow

Graham Elementary is proud of our learners! Today, our quarter 1 ZERO referral earners were rewarded with a water bottle and a water bottle sticker. These water bottles ARE NOT dishwasher safe, so please plan to handwash them.

We are proud of our Falcon learners and the progress we are making toward our year-long goal of 30 referral-free days Wildly Important Goal (WIG).

Happy Monday!
