GHS Weekly Announcements

February 16 - 20, 2026

  

  1.  There will be a “Blessed in the Dress” event on February 21st.  This event is an opportunity for students to access free dresses, shoes, jewelry, and other items for Prom.  See the Flyer in the Main Office for event details.  

  1.  ATTENTION all current NHS members:  please check Google Classroom for important information regarding upcoming events, such as new-member tapping, fundraising opportunities, and the induction ceremony.  

  1.  SENIORS: Please check your email and respond to the Senior Fest T-Shirt Order Form.  T-shirt sizes are due next week to ensure you get your FREE Senior Fest shirt.

  1.  The Little Mermaid will be presented on February 20 and 21 at the Middle School.  Tickets will go on sale by February 15.  Please join us for a spectacular show!

  1.  The Valentine’s Day Yearbook Sale is still going on.  Save $5.00 when you order a Yearbook from now until February 28th.

  1.  There will be a Yearbook Interest Meeting on Wednesday, February 18th and Thursday, February 19th.  The meeting will last from 2:15 - 2:30 after school.  All are welcome.  Students only need to attend one of the meetings if interested.

  1.  Anyone who wants to take CCP Classes for the 2026/27 school year but did not attend the meeting, you need to see Mrs. Bechtel by Friday February 20th for a packet.  ALL paperwork needs to be completed EVERY YEAR.  The deadline for paperwork is March 31st.

  1.  Clark State Scholars, please turn your BLUE PERMISSION SLIPS in for Friday’s Field Trip to Mrs. Dillon ASAP.

  1.  Any Senior interested in applying to Clark State Community College, please email Mrs. Dillon.

  1.  Thursday, February 19th, the Army will be here during both lunches.

  1.  Next week will be National FFA Week.  Monday dress as your future Career, Tuesday: Farmer Day, Wednesday: Anything but a backpack (Ag related), Thursday: Carthartt vs. Lulu, Friday: Drive your Tractor to School Day, wear blue.  On Friday, there will be an Ag Olympics Assembly.  If you are interested in getting a team in to  the olympics, please see Ms. Jones ASAP. 

  1.  There will be an FCCLA Meeting TODAY after school in Mrs. Jarzab’s room (C132).  If you CANNOT attend, see Mrs. Jarzab sometime during the school day.

  1.  ATTENTION SENIORS:  Your GRADUATION Items are ready for delivery!  Jostens will be here this Thursday at lunch to DELIVER.  Your BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN FULL to receive your items.  If you have not ordered, please order NOW at jostens.com or call the Jostens office to order by phone-937-280-4350.  

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1.  Softball Tryouts will be this week from 5:00 - 7:00 at the High school and next week from 3:00 - 5:00.

  1.  Congratulations to our Men Swimmers who advanced to Districts: Gabe Woomer, Sully Uhl, & Ryan Marshall.  For our Lady Swimmers:  Grace Smith & Hattie Uhl.  Good Luck!
