Graham Middle School had 18 students participate in the Regional History Bee in Columbus prior to Spring Break. Daniel Spence was a finalist in grade 8 and he ended up earning 3rd place. Declan Stephens and Lydia Dibert both were finalists in grade 7, where Declan took 2nd place. In grade 6, John Neff was a finalist and finished in 3rd place. Daniel, Declan, Lydia, and John all qualified for the National Championships in Orlando, Florida this May should they choose to attend.


Record Breaking Year for Power of the Pen Continues
Graham Middle School Power of the Pen has set a new bar at Regionals. First, the team qualified 10 out of 12 writers to Regional, which was a new high. Qualifying for regionals were 7th graders Adelyn Guidera, Moxie Evilsizor, Brynne Edwards, & Oscar Anderson. 8th grade qualified the entire team- Kendall Nichols, Daniel Spence, Avonle Niece, Aubrie Campbell, Alayna Owens, & Maria Boling. Secondly, GMS has qualified 4 to the State Competition, which is also a new record for the team. Qualifying for Power of the Pen State are 7th grader Brynne Edwards and 8th Graders Kendall Nichols, Alayna Owens, and Daniel Spence. The State Competition is in May at Ashland University.

NJHS Cereal Drive Collects 124 Boxes of Cereal for Local Food Pantry!
Thank you once again to all who participated in the NJHS Cereal Box Drive. As a building, 124 boxes were brought in that will be donated to the local food pantry.

Congratulations to our students who qualified for the Upper Miami Valley Regional Science Fair today. Mallorie, Piper, Carly & Jenna, as well as Mackenzie represented GMS.
Carly & Jenna received a "Superior" rating and are headed to the state competition in May! They also received 1st place in the Environmental Science category earning them a $100 cash award.


Msg from GMS - Grade 6 students will be bringing home a paper today about SOS instruction and screening. This is a county initiative held in each school to education students about mental health and well being. We have participated in this at GMS for nearly a decade. If you DO NOT wish for your student to participate, please return the signed slip.

GMS Students Preparing for History Bee Regional Competition
GMS will have a group of students who met the initial online district qualifier criteria and have planned to compete in the History Bee Regional Finals in Columbus on Saturday, March 15th in Columbus, Ohio.
This is a Qualifier for the National History Bee Finals in Orlando, Florida.
