Preschool aged children learn a lot of things through play. It might be building with blocks, using frisbees and hula hoops in P.E. class, or skating on a simulated ice rink made of shaving cream!

✨✨REMINDER
No School Monday!

Our preschool little ones recently enjoyed visitors for their “We Love Ladies” special event with crafts and special moments together. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event memorable for them.

Walking is back at GES!!

Our children get opportunities to practice STEM activities throughout the building, even during their library visit once they are done checking out or enjoying books. Here Kindergarten kids show off their designs.

Yesterday, our staff celebrated the month of love with the February Staff Challenge. They had to find their match of famous couples. The children also had fun keeping their eyes peeled for their teacher’s match throughout the day!

A few weeks ago, kids of all ages enjoyed a visit and treat during Kona Ice day. Students can purchase a shaved ice treat, while others earn a free one as the Kona Ice Super Student.

Fourth graders learn about how rounding numbers can help with estimation in real life applications. Knowing place value is a key to rounding as well.

Our 2nd graders constructed timelines about their lives with the help of their parents. The home-school connections help support learning at Graham!

Our 5th grade students have posted reflections on how they use the Leader in Me habits in their own personal lives. Being a Leader in Me school helps us to become great people all around!

Quarterly Awards - Each grading period, students can earn pins for their lanyards. A pin can be earned in areas such as leadership, excellence, attendance, most improved, citizenship, kindness, etc. Congrats to all the students who earned them for quarter 2!

First grade children learned about the importance of kindness. They decided upon ways in which they could sprinkle kindness to others during their school day.

Third graders did a STEM activity that went along with the book Where the Wild Things Are. After constructing their boats, they measured how far they could travel on water. Students then had to reflect on what went well and what could be improved upon with their design.

Many students are given the opportunity to learn where they are most comfortable when working. Our children take advantage of working in various spots around the classroom just like these 2nd grade kids.
