The following students were all named Regional Finalists and qualified for the National Championships:
8th - Addy Heaston, Kaylin Hedrick, Wyatt Toth-Thompson
7th -Maddex Cushard, Jared Ekey, Mason Burrall, George Slone, Ellie Heaston
6th - Daniel Spence, Carper Charley, Lincoln Jacobs, Tucker Fenton, Noah George
Wyatt Toth-Thompson and Maddex Cushard represented GMS at the National Finals in Arlington, VA in early June where they competed with hundreds of students from across the country.
We want to congratulate all our students on their success in this competition and thank their teachers and families for providing this opportunity!

Check out Kaylin's Silver Award project that now graces the grounds of GMS!
Kaylin shared, "This project was done for my Silver Award in Girl Scouts. My goal was to create a safe space for native birds to nest and eat. Also, I hoped to educate about local birds by making a Google slide about the birds that might visit and live in the garden. I gained more skills than I thought I would! I learned to design, create, and build feeders and nesting boxes. I learned a lot about creating and maintaining a garden. And I also learned about leading a team and teaching younger students about our local environment. I hope this garden and its birds can be enjoyed and studied by students at GMS."
