GRAHAM LOCAL SCHOOLS

Mr. Slone's 7th-grade students use catapults to show how elastic potential energy is converted into mechanical kinetic energy! The elastic potential energy is stored in the wooden arm as you bend it and the rubber bands as you stretch it. When the students let go, this stored energy is released and converted into kinetic energy. This energy transfers to the projectile, which forces it into the air. Fun and learning go hand-in-hand at GMS!

Grandparents day three is in the books! We are so grateful for all the grandparents that came out to spend time with their grandchildren!

Students from area Champaign County schools that have been selected by their Choir Directors will perform tonight at 7pm at the Episcopal church of the Epiphany in Urbana. The event is organized by the Champaign County Arts Council and we are proud to have 12 GHS students participating!

Students in Mrs Helman’s MMR mathematics class had a Barbie Bungee drop this week! The barbie who came closest to the floor without hitting its head was the winner!!! Wow, these students are really learning to plan and adjust using some problem-solving and math skills !!

Several Graham Students volunteered their time the last three nights to serve meals to the residents of Vancrest Ctr of Urbana. Great example of Leadership from these Falcons! Thank You Ms Ryman & Helman!
