April 27th we competed in our events at The Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Columbus Ohio! We had 29 members attend for competition and to receive their power of ones! This was a great experience for all of our incredible members and we are very proud to be the Graham FCCLA family!

The Graham Falcon 5K run/walk will take place on Saturday, May 27th. There is also an elementary 1-mile fun run. Everyone who signs up by Friday, May 12th will guarantee an event t-shirt with registration. We also have medals for top 5 in each category. There are also registration forms in all GLS building offices and various businesses around town. We hope you can join us for this event to help fund student organizations and PBIS initiatives at GMS!

Each year, when learning about the Industrial Revolution, 8th graders complete a project in which they create a monument to an inventor of their choice. This project includes research, creating an abstract, and finally building a monument to represent their inventor. 6th and 7th graders then vote for their favorites. This year, the winners from each class were: Madison Welty, Addie Heaston, Jordan Johnston, Bailey Zimmerman, Bailey Britton, and Mateo Castelucci.

Graham's Lockery Rates SUPERIOR at State Science Fair!
Graham Elementary is thrilled to announce that 5th grader Brandon Lockery received a superior rating at the State Science Fair this month with this Growing Sugar Crystals project! 615 students in grades 5-12 competed at the state level this year. Only 311 students received a superior rating; of those 311, only 25 were 5th graders! Brandon gets to attend a special recognition ceremony at The Ohio State University in May in recognition of his accomplishments.
