Mrs. Huff's Animal Bio participated in a Predator/Prey activity last week that illustrated how different populations interact within a community. Students acted as the predators and had to acquire as much prey (beans) as possible within a given time using a specific tool (Spoon, forceps, alligator clips, or tongs). Students learned how certain physical traits that improve survival, known as adaptations, can become common. Adaptations help reduce a prey's chance of being eaten or increase a predator's ability to find food.
